PBIS EVENTS

PBIS Events at Safety Harbor Middle School

Safety Harbor Middle School rewards positive behavior through our PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) program! Students earn PBIS points throughout the year and can redeem them for exciting events and activities. Our 2026-2027 calendar features monthly Feathers Up Fridays (dress-down days), special events like the Halloween Dance, Holiday Movie Night Under the Stars, Valentine's SOAR-ee, and exciting Students vs. Faculty volleyball and basketball games. Students can also use their points at the PBIS School Store (open the 1st and 3rd week of each month) and enter monthly raffles. Check your points and sign up for events through PBIS Rewards on Clever. Points must be redeemed 1-2 days before each event to receive wristbands or passes—earn your points and join the fun!

PBIS Events Calendar 2026-2027

AUGUST

August 14th: SHMS Takeover at the Dunedin Blue Jays Game (School Fundraiser)

  • Students and families MUST purchase tickets on the Dunedin Blue Jays website

SEPTEMBER

September 18th: Feathers Up Friday - 40 pts

  • Students will redeem their PBIS points 2 days prior to the event to obtain an event wristband to dress in attire that adheres to the Pinellas County School's Dress Code Policy
  • Students will receive a wristband during all lunches the day before the event
  • Students who lose their wristband will not be issued a new one
  • Students who have not redeemed PBIS points to participate in the event and are out of uniform will receive a call home for change of clothes or parent pick up

OCTOBER

October 16th: Feathers Up Friday - 40 pts

  • Students will redeem their PBIS points 2 days prior to the event to obtain an event wristband to dress in attire that adheres to the Pinellas County School's Dress Code Policy
  • Students will receive a wristband during all lunches the day before the event
  • Students who lose their wristband will not be issued a new one
  • Students who have not redeemed PBIS points to participate in the event and are out of uniform will receive a call home for change of clothes or parent pick up

October 16th: PBIS 3rd Friday

  • Come visit the SHMS PBIS table at 3rd Friday
  • Redeem your PBIS Points for snacks and drinks

October 30th: Talons of Terror and Halloween Dance (After School) - 50 pts

  • Students will redeem their PBIS points 2 days prior to the event to obtain an event stamp to dress in a Halloween costume (NO masks, face paint, or prop weapons)
  • Students will receive a wristband during all lunches the day before the event
  • Students who lose their wristband will not be issued a new one
  • Students who have not redeemed PBIS points to participate in the event and are out of uniform will receive a call home for change of clothes or parent pick up
  • Dance will be from 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM in the cafeteria
  • Snacks and drinks are available for purchase for $1 each

NOVEMBER

November 20th: Students vs. Faculty Volleyball Game - 60 pts

  • This event will take place during 6th and 7th period in the gym
  • Students must redeem their points 2 days prior to the event
  • All student participants will receive a pass to the event and can participate in Feathers Up Friday

November 20th: Feathers Up Friday - 40 pts

  • Students will redeem their PBIS points 2 days prior to the event to obtain an event wristband to dress in attire that adheres to the Pinellas County School's Dress Code Policy
  • Students will receive a wristband during all lunches the day before the event
  • Students who lose their wristband will not be issued a new one
  • Students who have not redeemed PBIS points to participate in the event and are out of uniform will receive a call home for change of clothes or parent pick up

DECEMBER

December 16th: Holiday Movie Night Under the Stars - 50 pts

  • 6:00 PM until movie ends
  • Bring a chair or blankets and watch a holiday movie classic under the stars
  • Concessions for purchase will be available
  • Students will redeem their PBIS points 1 day prior to the event in order to attend

December 18th: Feathers Up Friday – Cozy in the Nest: Flannel and Festive Edition - 40 pts

  • Students will redeem their PBIS points 2 days prior to the event to obtain an event wristband to dress in attire that adheres to the Pinellas County School's Dress Code Policy
  • Students will receive a wristband during all lunches the day before the event
  • Students who lose their wristband will not be issued a new one
  • Students who have not redeemed PBIS points to participate in the event and are out of uniform will receive a call home for change of clothes or parent pick up

JANUARY

January 15th: Feathers Up Friday - 50 pts

  • Students will redeem their PBIS points 2 days prior to the event to obtain an event wristband to dress in attire that adheres to the Pinellas County School's Dress Code Policy
  • Students will receive a wristband during all lunches the day before the event
  • Students who lose their wristband will not be issued a new one

FEBRUARY

February 11th: Valentines SOAR-ee - 35 pts

  • Valentine's Day Dance after school from 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM in the cafeteria
  • Snacks and drinks are available for purchase for $1 each
  • Students who have not redeemed PBIS points to participate in the event and are out of uniform will receive a call home for change of clothes or parent pick up

February 19th: Feathers Up Friday - 50 pts

  • Students will redeem their PBIS points 2 days prior to the event to obtain an event wristband to dress in attire that adheres to the Pinellas County School's Dress Code Policy
  • Students will receive a wristband during all lunches the day before the event
  • Students who lose their wristband will not be issued a new one
  • Students who have not redeemed PBIS points to participate in the event and are out of uniform will receive a call home for change of clothes or parent pick up

MARCH

March 12th: Seahawk March Madness - Students vs. Faculty Basketball Game - 60 pts

  • This event will take place during 6th and 7th period in the gym
  • Students must redeem their points 2 days prior to the event
  • All student participants will receive a pass to the event and can participate in Feathers Up Friday

March 12th: Feathers Up Friday - 50 pts

  • Students will redeem their PBIS points 2 days prior to the event to obtain an event wristband to dress in attire that adheres to the Pinellas County School's Dress Code Policy

PBIS Incentives

• Check PBIS Rewards on Clever to check points, purchase school store items, enter raffles, and sign up for PBIS events

• PBIS School Store will be open on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of the month

  • Purchases will be delivered during SOAR the following week

• Monthly Raffles are located on the PBIS Rewards app
